Every price on this site can be queried directly: as a small JSON API for your app and as an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants look up live what a subscription costs in which country. No sign-up, no key, read-only.

JSON API

Base URL https://promptpiggy.com/api/v1/. Every response includes the data date (asOf), the exchange-rate date, the licence and attribution. Parameters accept comma-separated lists; providers, plans and countries are also recognised by name.

Key fields

priceMonthly: Monthly price in local currency; for yearly billing the yearly price ÷ 12
excludesTax: true = price before tax (United States, Canada: sales tax varies by state/province). Compare such prices only within that country.
priceMonthlyEur: converted at the ECB reference rate (fxDate); priceMonthlyUsd likewise
priceMonthlyPppIntl: adjusted for purchasing power, in international dollars (World Bank)
planUrl: Plan page with history and sources – please link it

MCP server for AI assistants

A remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no authentication) runs at https://promptpiggy.com/mcp. Once added, your assistant answers questions like “What does Claude Pro cost in Brazil?” or “Where is ChatGPT Plus cheapest?” with current numbers and a source.

Setup

Claude (web and desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL. https://promptpiggy.com/mcp

ChatGPT: in developer mode, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors and create a connector with this URL, authentication “None”.

Licence and fair use

The data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. When publishing, credit “Data: promptpiggy.com” with a link. There is no key and no availability guarantee; responses are cached for an hour, so please don’t poll more often. For bulk use, take the files under Open data.

Versioning

Paths start with /api/v1/. Within v1 fields are only added, never renamed or removed. The API stores no requests and no personal data.
