How we check
1,706 prices from 43 providers in 38 countries, last checked on 29 October 2026. Here's how they come about.
Straight from the provider
Every price comes automatically from the provider's public pricing page – from the data the page itself loads, or from the text it displays. Where a provider only shows local prices in its iOS app, we use the App Store price and label it as such.
Daily, with safety limits
Once a day we fetch all prices again. A new snapshot is only accepted if no price jumps by more than 30%, hardly any entries are missing, no provider drops out and no currency changes. Otherwise we check by hand before anything goes live.
Always including VAT
We compare the price per month including the tax you pay in each country. If a provider only shows prices excluding VAT, we add the tax rate the provider itself states, or the country's statutory rate – this is then noted next to the price. Exception: the US and Canada have no single rate (sales tax by state, GST/HST by province). We show those prices excluding tax, marked “plus tax”, and leave them out of country comparisons and the price index.
Local currency, not dollars
We show the price in the currency you pay in. Euro conversions (sorting, price index) use the European Central Bank's reference rates. Exchange-rate swings are not price changes and don't appear in the change log.
Traceable changes
Every price change is logged with its date, and once a month we save a complete snapshot. That way you can see when a provider became more or less expensive.
Independent
The order depends on price alone. If we earn from a subscription through a partner link, the link is marked as an ad – it changes nothing about order, ratings or recommendations.
Limitations
Prices sometimes change several times a day, and promotions and taxes at checkout can differ. The binding price is always the one the provider shows when you subscribe. Please let us know if you spot a mistake.
